Frequently Asked Questions

  1. I have a great script can you finance my movie?
While a good script is critical to make a successful movie, a script alone is not sufficient for us to provide financing. We need a complete package to consider your project including the budget, cashflow, existing sales and sales estimates from your sales company, other sources of financing, script, cast list and other items to be determined.

  2. How long does it take to actually get me funds for my movie?
Once we have a complete package you should generally plan for 4 to 6 weeks before the loan actually closes. Very complex transactions could take longer.

  3. Can you get distribution for my movie?
No, while we are familiar with a larger number of distributors, it's useful to have a sales agent to help you distribute your film. We suggest a starting point is to look at the IFTA website for a list of sales agents.

  4. Is there a limit to the size of project you will finance?
We finance both small and large films. The size of the loan is more a factor than the budget of the project. We typically finance loans between $1 million and $10 million. We have the ability to finance larger transactions by arranging co-financing with other lenders.
